The property of a hash function that, given an input, its hash value can be computed easily and quickly
The example hash function is SHA-256. Any input gives a 256-bit hash value, which is 64 hexadecimal digits.

What is ease of computation?
Ease of computation means anyone with the input can compute its hash value easily and quickly. No secret key is needed; one pass over the input is enough. That is why hashes fit jobs that run all the time, like checking files and digital signatures.
An ordinary computer hashes hundreds of megabytes or more per second with SHA-256.
